Directed by NS Rajkumar, Kunjiramayanam was officially released on 3rd November 2016 across theatres in Kerala and Karnataka with a stellar cast of actors like KPAC Lalitha (Mukku), Jishnu (Muthappan), Alancier Layar (Nandi), Vijayakumar (Parvathy). These were creative partners for various creative activities including costume designing, make-up, technical aspects of the film, creative direction (direction of visual effects / cinematography), casting, music and production design. As the film was a creation from a multitude of creative people from multiple art forms, the film was created with a "team spirit". The film also employed a few scientific designs and principles that were used in conjuction to ancient mythology. The film's art direction and production design were handled by award-winning design house DOPAN who has worked on the sets for critically acclaimed Malayalam films like Chappa Kurishu, Nityakudu, Shutterbugs and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam to name a few. The sets for Kunjiramayanam were specially created at Pepper House, Thiruvananthapuram. The sets were designed by the theatre artist Dushyanth Pavanakkunnu and include a tent set, a straw house, a traditional kolam (a circular wickerwork mat) and a number of men's attire details which adorn the men in Kunjiramayanam. The film also went on to garnish numerous international awards during 2017. A five-member crew was on hand for creating special effects in the movie. The first unit of special effects compositors had worked on 50+ productions before "Kunjiramayanam". They worked on some of the biggest Malayalam films like "Chithram" (2007) and "Manassu" (2010). The second unit of special effects compositors was a young, yet skilled bunch of compositors who had previously worked on multiple cinema projects including "100% Love" (2012) and "1983" (2014). The costuming for the film was done by Nandini Pisharody from XYZ Digital Labs. XYZ labs have worked on projects including the recent big-screen adaptation of God's own country, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's second directorial venture "Oppam" as well as the recent Indian remake of Hollywood movie "Boys" (2016).Audiences in various parts of Kerala waited for the film to premiere in theatres during November 2016. cfa1e77820
